It is NOT electric.

It's an IC Engine 230HP up to 18000rpm

This is a CONCEPT project and I am not interested in discussing other peoples designs and theories which have no relivence.

I will update the progress of this project as it happens; not with predicted unconfirmed results..

"Malish is producing approx 800 lbs of thrust using two 69cm dia fans driven by a single GM LS6 engine in a very nice design.

The considerable fan area helps improve his efficiency.

The Cold Jet ( D340 ?) in the OP looks like it is exactly the opposite approach. "

This might help you understand the differences that you are trying to compare; which is impossible because they are so different.

=it is possible,but little complicated...

+UL-39 ALBI II=

file:///C:/Users/mbm/Downloads/Albi_II_-_a_new_generation_development.pdf

UL-39 ALBI=

Ft=190 kG N=190 HP D=0.69 m 13 blades

Kt=190/190 * sqr (190/0.37)=22.7

DF 420=

Ft=150 kG N=320 HP D=0.42 m 12 blades

Kt=150/230* sqr (150/0.14)=27 , little better !

but=Duseks DF=
Ft=70 kG N=30 HP D=0.55 m 7 blades

Kt=70/30 * sqr*(70/0.24)= 40 !!! =the best...

OK, Lets get back to the Ducted Fans.

This is a concept drawing of the Ducted Fan Jet I will be building to use the 420mm 12 blade ducted fan I have designed

At the moment this will be the only information I will be posting until I have built and tested the ducted fan unit.

Cheers,

Hope everyone is doing the right thing; looking after themselves and their families.

Yes, nice engine; but unfortunately Nissan won't sell the engine except for the car racing industry

I contacted their head office in Japan about 18 months ago and they said NO WAY.

Will know the weight soon but it will be a bit heavier than a carbon fibre fan.

The 450 fan is made from 7075-T6

-for 2-place (DF 420) ?

=Power/ RPM=?

BTW=Schuebeler=

"
“We can give people a much higher efficiency,” Schübeler said.

Even the smallest error in an aerodynamic system can cause a loss of 30% to 40% efficiency. By designing EDFs that optimize energy use, Schübeler said his company is accelerating green aviation. His goal is to make battery electric flying platforms good enough to fulfill serious enterprise missions.

"
6 of the 250N jobbies put out 337 pounds of thrust....same as the Turbomeca Palas turbine popular with the mini-jets...What do these little fans cost?

"EDF 390 mm + 40KW engine (model TS-MI-110160) € 5200 "

=weight, Thrust ?

=very interesting.CR too !

circa 2 kG/kW !!!

(I see,to big blade tip/duct surface distance...)=big loses !

any comparationes=single/ Conter Rotating Fans ?

Blackhawk, You probably realize now, NEVER mention used in an Aircraft.
