Hello folks

The Pietenpol has always attracted me, one because of its size, and second because of it’s simplicity.

Bernard Pietenpol, was not one of the taller fellows right, so he built his bird around the sizes of those days back in the early thirties.

Now, my problem is the following, most probably to the better nutrition available in the beginning of the seventies, I did grow to a whopping 6’6” and 254lbs, hmm!

I’m a fan of the 2 seat AirCamper, but with my weight and size, this bird turns into a single seater with place for a toothbrush or two.

Sure, there are other designs around, like the Bakeng Deuce, but this requires a 150hp engine and weighs more than a bird requires to weight, without forgetting the vmin speeds.

I’ve been reading in a few articles, that a few Pietenpol came out tail heavy, ok, moving the wing and MLG a few inches back, solved most of the CG issues.

Does there in the wild existe a similar Parasol aircraft out there with the weight of a Pietenpol but built for the taller breed, like my self?

Im really looking for a lightweight 2 seat Parasol-aircraft, not for a Champ, Decathlon, J3 and other highwing aircraft with an enclosed cabin!

Ideas like leave the doors out, it’s not the plane I’m looking for.

My ideal should be plansbuilt, not a kit.

It could be wood and fabric, or steeltube and fabric.

So, think Piet look a like, even Airbike, CE Parasol, Zlin Agilis and so on look a likes would be welcome, but the must be ready to accept the taller flyers like my self.
