Aedifferent Bird; Design and Build

This is a new ultralight design that will have a tapered, cantilever wing, mono-wheel landing gear, and wood geodetic structure throughout.
I would like to thank our late friend Orion, and, Jman, HITC, Wsimpson, Norman, Goose, Maverick, and the moderators. And others, who have been very helpful in this forum.

There are still more geo strips to go on it, as well as some longerons and stringers.

OK, so here's some pics I took today of the fuselage. I'm thinking of calling the plane either 'Flyboy' or 'Pippet'.
The wing be 130 sq ft, and taperred from 5 to 3.5 ft.The span is 32 ft. The tips will be Wittman style and span 2 ft ea.
The fuselage weighs 20 lbs as it sits there.
The single wheel leaning against the fuselage will be glider style.

I tested two methods for the wing geoditic skin and found that I can use strips for fabric and also as anti twist/drag.

I got this wood from a very old schoolhouse that is being torn down. The fuselage was built from it, as will the wings.

The ribs are cut out, one inside another from .25" ply, and then trusses are glued in. It was misting today so the pattern wrinkled up a bit, but it's OK, it's mounted on poster board.

Next I hope to show the 8 ft center section wing, and how the geodetic skin, ribs, and spar go together to make a light, strong structure.:)
