Hi all from southeast Texas area. im still at the introductory stages of flying but I must admit I'm already addicted. The reason for my post is to try and get some info about building an ultralight or even buying one that would be a good fit for flying from either my house or a small airport a few miles away to our camp (about an hour away by truck) that I might could throw maybe 20 pounds at most of clothes food etc. I've done a lot of looking and am very interested in the merlin lite but am not sure how well suited it would be for this type of flying I will be grading an area for a strip about 150-200 yards before a 20 or so foot drop off to the river the area won't be perfect but will be as good as I can get it with a tractor. Like I said I'm very new to all this and do plan to get training and getting quiet a few hours in whatever ultralight I decide on before attempting to land or take off from there. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance.
