Our own Ron @Wanttaja is famous (with honorable mention to @Marc Zeitlin ). Kudos to Ron to keeping the Daily Mail mostly honest, quoting Ron as a "sky savant" of the "burgeoning subculture" of homebuilt airplanes.

OTOH, they did caption a picture of Peter Sripol's ultralight as "A homemade electric-powered MK4 Cozy - similar to the plane that crashed - is seen being constructed by a YouTuber in 2020. Similar projects are now commonplace across the internet", and captioned another picture of a foam and fiberglass wing as "The crafts are commonly built from materials like wood, before they are deemed safe to fly by the FAA".
