Hi Everyone,
I just got off the phone with the local FSDO representative, and told him that I just bought the Davis DA2A. He subsequentely mentioned that if I wanted I am able to take advantage of a trend of people going to special schools to get repairman certificates to work on their experimentals. This certificate would allow me to work on (and inspect) my experimental as well as any others I wanted. He mentioned the course was about 60 or 120 hours (he wasn't sure) but that he has been signing off a lot of these this summer.
Does anyone know where to find one of these classes? What he is talking about sounds somewhat familiar to the ELSA repairman certificate which is a course of only 16 hours, but different enough that what he is talking about could be totally different. He did mention that most of the certificates he signs comes from schools in CA.
It would be really nice to go through this class...
Thanks
