I just picked up the new Aircraft Spruce & Specialty catalog: Turnbuckle, AN 135-61L : $108.10 EACH. Not by the dozen.
Ok, that is exceptional, but the rest are hovering around $50. If people had saved all those turnbuckles after WW1, when they were literally sold by the barrelful (and ended up, no doubt, holding up fences), it would have been a better investment than Microsoft shares.
