Something in another thread got me to thinking... today I went flying, and as the weather forecast was for severe thunderstorms, I stayed in the pattern and did a bunch of landings. I often do that anyway... my policy is if I don't make a perfect landing, I take off again and do another, repeat until I get it right. Anyway, I got to wondering... how many pilots (not counting students) go flying just to shoot landings, or finish a flight with several circuits and landings (touch and go or full stop)?
