Here are some old, low-resolution scans of paper photos that I received by mail from Olin Kane of California back in 1997. The three pics of the Evans VP-1 Volksplane in the yellow paint scheme are dated 1984 and 1985 and highlight the chin position of the oil cooler and the use of duct tape to block the cooler and raise oil temps in winter. The green and white paint scheme was labeled simply "Previous color" and dated 1983. Overall, it's a very neatly done VP, especially the cowling and canopy. Does know anyone here know (or knew) Olin Kane and his Volksplane and can provide more info or pics? I'd love hear and see more. Cheers, Matthew
