It's been a good 15 years since I last used a proper CAD package. Never got anything CNC cut before (or designed anything to be cut). Never sculpted or hotwired foam. Never made anything with fibreglass. Never cut aluminium. Never covered anything with fabric/dope. So I needed to learn a bunch of stuff & a Rutan bookend seemed a bit boring. No points for guessing what this will end up being. Points will be awarded for working out where I can put the thing once it's finished.
Anyone else do anything equally dumb to familiarise themselves with how to make stuff?
