Murphy Maverick?

So I saw three of what appears to be "Murphy Maverick's" today. Two of them are frames and parts and one is completely built and looks like it could/did/should fly. Even had headsets in it, why I think it must have flown prior.

Owner purchased these planes and supposedly this one, has not flown in 10 years and is powered by a Subaru engine. There's also what he calls a "Renegade" which I think is also a Murphy Bi Wing, which is also powered by a Subaru engine.

Anyone know anything about these Murphy planes?

He's looking to sell them, but has ZERO paperwork on them. ZERO. So getting a airworthy certificate might be a challenge I think (don't know).

Thoughts?
