    Ooooh, that'll be polycarbonate shields. Butyric acid is the stench in rancid butter. I accidentally made some BA in a chemistry class at school once, the stuff stuck in my memory...

    It's surpising how often high tech, high price governement stuff is disabled with simple things. Lobbing rancid butter at riot police to break their shields has to be right up there.
