Wanted to open a discussion about building with wood. what are our choices? VP-1, or any other flat sided bird. For building the main box structure of the airframe the wood is Easley controlled and gives a builder not too much grief. the shape of the bird really distinguishes the way the wood wants to lay. Once you clamp it tight will it stay or find its way back after glued down? As a builder I have to ask will that medium cloth shrunk on hold the seam from letting go? What's your thoughts on how we can trust our soul on wood.
