I have been grumbling a lot about an internal hinge system that would be equivalent to an outward hinge system.
I still havent figured a solution out.
What I really dislike is the huge gap on the underside of the wing where the flap starts when retracted.
According to the attached pic I have added a deflector that moves together with the flap.
The deflector is a really easy technical solution that energizes the flow over the flap and when the whole thing is retracted there is no slot.
All the boundary layer of air traveling along the foil is forced between the deflector and the flap and redirected like a vector thrust downward again over the flap :)))
Are planes out there that use such a system?

Whats your opinion?
