How much are you willing to bet that this thing can fly?
It is slightly underpowered in its current configuration (80hp 8000rpm engine, 3000rpm prop, direct drive), but the possibility of an engine swap cannot be overlooked.
He can also push the aircraft down a slope to gain some extra speed.
He also reads a book, meaning the CG of this thing cannot be wrong despite the airplane's appearance.

He is determined to find the CG, by hiring a construction crane.
My verdict is that the thing will fly within this year.
