Hi everyone!
I'm a 24 year old metallurgical engineer working at Hamilton Sundstrand in Rockford IL. I'm married with a kid on the way, so this whole airplane thing might not happen within the next 10 years. We'll see what happens. In the mean time, I'm going to dream about it.
Right now, I'm interested in a plans-built wood airplane that can seat 2. Plans-built wood = about as cheap as you can go, hence the desire. It'd end up being something to tool around the countryside in, maybe fit for longer trips occassionally. If anyone has any ideas, let me know!
My other hobbies include designing/building vacuum-tube guitar amps (if anyone out there wants a hand built amp, I'm your man!), playing guitar, mountain biking, and sailing (saving up for a small used sailboat right now).
