After lurking for a while, I decided it's finally time to introduce myself! I'm Peer, and I live in the Los Angeles area.

I'm currently clearing some garage space and freeing up funds to get myself into an ultralight. After ten hours in Cessna's twenty years or so ago, I ran out of money, and then life got in the way. I've dabbled in RC planes since then, but mostly old cars and motorcycles, but never lost my love for airplanes.

There's been a lot of reading in that time (and voraciously reading the posts on this site after I discovered it), and I'm now finally at a point where I feel I can "pull the trigger" and make something happen.

I've been in contact with Chris Deuel of "Badland Aircraft" regarding his F1 Ultralight. I like the style and the fact that the design has somewhat of a history. (Kitfox Lite and Belite, as I understand it).

With any luck I'll be able to work toward my goal of putting at least a fuselage kit in my garage in the near future!

My goal is to have a project that keeps me interested, and to be able to buzz around for an hour or two every now and then.

I'm actually not sure which I will find more rewarding, honestly; the building or the flying!
