Hello,
I’m designing a RC model of forward propeller. The engine has to be installed at a position vertically much higher than the airplane C.G., because propeller’s diameter is too large and I don’t want it to hit the ground.
I still want the thrust line of the propeller to be close to airplane C.G. due to the trim requirements at different propeller power status. So I come up with an idea of tilting up the propeller to have its thrust line to be closer to C.G..
But usually people tilt down propeller for the trim and I’ve never seen an airplane with tilted up forward propeller. So I feel unsafe to design airplane in this way. I would like to check this idea here. Will tilting up propeller cause any problem?
