This is the tail of a Rans S-14. Having no experience while considering a purchase, I am asking what performance conditions required the addition of the rather large right side elevator trim tab. In addition, what corrective step(s) in constructing the craft would have mitigated its use? Anticipating the question, no I have not as yet asked the seller about the tab. I tend to source outside information on anything I investigate in order to compare the rationale offered. Some of you are wondering about my qualifications for piloting. Answer: absolutely none and no intent to fly until addressed. Just putting the cart before the horse. I would like to invite you thankfully and with appreciation to offer your views.
