I 'm trying to find the right kit plane to build. My backround is in wood - cabinetmaker/furnituremaker, and would prefer building with wood, but not against learning to work with metal or fabric. I discovered a company that has plans for a supercub built out of wood - the Light Miniture Aircraft Co. Anyone familiar with them? What is your opinion of wood over tube and fabric or metal plane? The other plane I'm considering is the Bearhawk Patrol. I only need 2 seats, but would like some decent cargo capacity. I was looking at the Kitfox, but it lacked any real decent cargo space. The Highlander has more cargo room, but not as much fuel capacity or cruise speed. That's not as critical, but since this project will take a good deal of my time, I'm trying to find te plane that will meet most of what's on my wish list. Any advice is appreciated. I'm still a student pilot and hope to have my private pilot license before the end of the year.
