From talking to a lot of folks about getting an aerobatic ship, wing failures continue to be a problem/concern. So, why not aluminum? Even if there is a weight penalty, the peace of mind is probably worth much more. Can a suitable wing be designed and built for an aircraft with 150hp -200hp range with gross weight of about 950lbs giving a +/-9 G wing. Is this a pipe dream or what? Countersunk rivets with body filler could really smooth things out giving it a slick finish.
This is a project I would like to tackle this summer if someone wants to join.
Thanks
