I am doing a little design exercise and I am trying to decide on a suitable airfoil.
Most graphs have "standard roughness" data as well as normal data. The standard roughness gives a Clmax of 0.3 to 0.5 less than the normal data. This is obviously quite significant so my question is how rough is this airfoil and how smooth are the others?
My design will be a painted aluminium homebuilt with pop rivets - what sort of roughness would that be?

Simply which graph should I be looking at?

Thanks for your help!
