I am working on a design for a non-acrobatic, sheet metal, low-wing monoplane and have worked out the design for the spar. Although originally I had intended to use a fuselage fuel tank, I am now considering moving the fuel tanks to the wings. Would anyone like to comment on how adding the additional weight to the wings will affect design considerations for the spars? For the attachment of the spars to the fuselage frame members? We're talking about approximately a 25 foot wingspan here, and 10 gallons of fuel per wing, probably in multiple cells weighing a total of 12-16 pounds per wing, empty.
