Has anyone built or flown a Cygnet?

I've read a lot of positive comments ("deserves to be better-known" etc.) and a couple of negative comments about the labour involved in the wings and hypothesizing about stability due to the forward-swept wings (See: https://groups.google.com/forum/message/raw?msg=rec.aviation.homebuilt/CMne0xjmaAQ/G4-2d6fsisYJ).

I'd like to hear from anyone with first-hand experience with this aircraft.

I'm tossing up between the Cygnet and the Serenity Karatoo (Karatoo | Serenity Aviation) which has similar performance... but on a bigger engine (80hp vs. 60hp) and a Rotax at that ($$$ vs Great Plains).

Admittedly the Karatoo has a wider cockpit which is in it's favour but cost is a bigger driver for me at the moment.
