"and no big ventral fin (the best feature of the D model)"
This comment came from a flying school owner who has recently taken delivery of the newest Jabiru 170D with a radically smaller ventral fin.
I thought lots of VS surface is good for stabilty, is there any opinions as to why he thinks less is a great feature?
Is too much ventral fin area a bad thing beacause of it's low location or is the total sum of too much VS area the bad part?
