I have been considering scratch building the Zenair ch-750 for a while now. However i have reservations regarding the elevator shape. After reading an article on the benefits of fitting vortex generators to the underside of the elevator, i am a bit a bit confused.

As i have not heard of other designs requiring attention in this area, I am starting to question the logic of the inverted elevator. Can anybody shed some light. What would the implications be of using a more conventional elevator shape?

Apart from the above question, I think they have designed a very functional aircraft.

regards

Martin
