    My main problem, if I try to make a functional model ,is the crank assembly .
    In the bag now.
    One of my friends uses wire- EDM for a living.
    Make a soft crank on final measure(almost),part it EDM and assemle within the hard bush where needle bearings go.
    Please comment

    It is maybe of interest how a V2 compares sizewise to a typical aircraft.
    I have uploaded a picture of a 160 horsepower at 2000 rpm superimposed on a 1,1meter square(almost) aircraft like a RV7.
    Left side shows a single side-valve and rigth side two overhead valves.Do not know what is best.
    If someone will point me to a cross section of a 40 hp VW engined single plane,it will be possible to se how a V2 looks there as well
