Fast forward this , to 17:00 minutes, (exactly) ; you will get some Really Good
flying footage, from a competent glider pilot. You will get bored, if ya start it before 17 .

After watching this ; i may sell all my PG and HG , and kite boarding equipment ; and
get a sailplane !! Will keep the snow skies though. Ha !

That was really cool. It was fun to hear him talk through some of his decision-making. It would have been nice to hear him call out his airspeeds a little more often. There were a few times he was really moving along.

Some of the local DFW-area soaring pilots have found a spot in Oklahoma where they can do ridge soaring, and wave in winter when fronts move through in the right direction. I think it would be a lot of fun to try.

Victor Bravo could tell Ya for sure ; but i think some sailplanes
dive through a Mountain rotor, in order to get up in a wave ?

If you start the video an 6: min ; you will see him glide through
the backside of a ridge into the rotor , with his wing tip tucked
tight against the ridge. The sailplane at the speeds
he flies , it appears to take that with ease ; unlike my Hang glider
which would fold in 1/2 , if i attempted that !

I'm use to an L/D of 17.5 : 1 with my rigid wing ; he has near 48 : 1 in
his ASW 27 B ! It's just Mind-blowing !
Here he jumps back behind, with the ridge he's on , just under
his Right wing ; now look at the line he's drawing, and where
he wants to place his wings...Screenshot 2020-09-17 at 5.25.11 AM.png
