HmmmThat is nonsense. Vans was so successful because they used aluminium. It lends itself to economical CNC production. Carbon fiber does not.
When Vans started Carbon Fiber was a defense dept material. Now it’s available to me.
First thing is that you don’t have to rivet composites, any RV builder would be overjoyed, well except the OCD guys.
Could there be a reason what carbon is the number one material of choice for any type of optimized structure?
