In a conversation with a fellow gyro pilot today, several methods of prerotator mechanisms were discussed. The most interesting (to me) was one that seemed to be made of a self-rewinding pull-cord that was attached, somehow, the the ring gear at the rotor head. This might be just the ticket for keeping me in the UL category.

Does anyone here have information on this type of pre-rotator system?
Thanks, in advance, for all the help and direction on this subject.

George
