Long time aviation interest and learning to fly now.
I own a Flight Design CTLS and am ready for checkride.
Been considering building and thought this would be a good place to start looking.
Like Rotax and my dream plane would be a 4 seat push/pull twin Rotax 915iS Turbo.
    Gotta dream big!

I do like it. I've put about 40 hours on it which includes a flight to Oshkosh this year. Solid plane and economical to fly, plus the BRS.
Bought it to learn to fly and no regrets, only that it has 2 seats.

I looked at the Defiant. The quoted engines are 160hp which is 19 more than the 915. Interestingly, once you get to 4000ft and higher the rotax has more hp. I'm a flatlander in Oklahoma but all of my cross country is at 5500 or higher so it would perform better when cruising and if in the mountains it would definitely be more hp. Plus the rotax has a higher cruise hp.
I have looked at the Tecnam 2006T but just out of my budget.
