Hi Everyone:)
My name is Mark Whelan and I chose the name, "Wave Skimmer", to show my main point of interest, "Wing In Ground" craft. As you noticed I said craft not vessel or plane because a WIG is neither. They have the characteristics of both and the problems of both also. At present they are registeded as a boat/ship by Lloyds because nobody wanted to be responsible for them.
There have been many starts and stops in the development of WIG craft without any true long running direction. You could say that the st5age of development of WIG's is at about the stage of development portrayed in the Disney movie "Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines". Yes with just as many crashes.
Thanks to Orion for showing me the way here and giving me some good insight into my project.
