With the advent of succesfull demonstrations of electric proplusion for small GA aircraft and Powered Gliders.

Please can someone advise me if my current understanding that this (same, non hybrid) technology will not scale up succesfully (provided there is sufficient investment) and soon be employed on much larger and aircraft types?

One quarter of the max take off weight approximately of the EADS Cri Cri is taken up by LiPo cells.
So hypothetically am I right therefore to assume this same approximate fraction would also be taken up in the context of much larger and heavier aircraft given similar L/D characteristics?
