This is just for my continuing education but how would you evaluate whether a given engine is going to work on a plane? For example, if I was working from a set of plans that called for a Wright-Morehouse two cylinder (I’m not really) and I knew I’d never find one let alone get it to run, but. I thought maybe a half VW would work, how would I evaluate that before committing? Again, the choices in the question are just examples.
