Hello all
I am currently building a couple of pulsejet engines for testing with a veiw to use them in an ultralight plane.
These engines first came to fame for being used on the world's first genuine cruise missile, the V1 "doodle bug" or "buzzbomb" used by the Germans in WWII.
There has been a lot of researh done on them, and I intend to make these engines primarily for use by the R/C model fanatics, and possibly for a few speed boat freaks who want to really push the envelope on the water.
If you would like to play around with these engines, here is a link to a great little XLS application that runs in a standard spreadsheet program that calculates everything you need to build them, or go here to check out more information, and more downloads.
:ban:
Happy Landings!
Pete.

Pics!

Here's a pic I converted from my CAD drawings of one of these engines.
I havent got the valve grid in place in this pic, but the shape is there.
This is from the 254Lb thrust model, the dimensions are 333mm dia at the intake and 2314mm long.
The whole thing weighs about 13kg.
