I was thinking when trying to make really lite and small hp flying machine the following...

What I was thinkin is that if you provide 5 hp continuous for the prop at the front......AND have a pedalling system to the monowheel ( chains and sprockets ) that is 2/5 visible underneath and 1'4'' ( 40 cm dia ) in size the fuselage this wheel would be fitted with tiny "blades" ( flat plate spokes ) to provide modest propulsion ( and at least to compensate the drag of the wheel ).

What I am asking is:

1. Would it help at take off to pedal more power to the craft ?
2. How much the glide ratio would be better when engine out when pedalled at 0,5-1,0 hp ?
3. Would it help the fuel economy much to pedal an hour or two ?
