Hello, I'm pondering a P40 build. Looking at restoration pics they look relatively simple in construction, all plans are available, and engines are somewhat available. I'd build it with the option to make it a flyer one day, but truly never expect it to be anything more than taxiable.

Has anyone successfully heat treated 2024-0 to T3 or T4 at home? I'd like to heat treat the flat sheet then strike the ribs while it's still cold and soft. Would it be a good idea to upgrade to 7050 for the ribs?
