I am installing differential ailerons on my Himax and designed the system by making a plywood mockup of the torque tube and bellcranks. Through trial and error I was able to get the 2:1 ratio I was after.
What I was wondering, is there a better method or formula to calculate the bellcrank angles to achieve the desired ratio?
The system I have uses a torque tube that runs along the fuselage centerline with the stick on one end and a large "V" bellcrank on the other. From the "V" I have a push rod on each side that runs to a smaller bellcrank on the opposite side of the "V". From the smaller bellcranks I have a push tube that runs to the aileron bracket.
Thanks for any help.
