    I'm pretty sure even Burt would disagree with this logic, especially since he readily acknowledges prior designs that were similar to his own. Yes, Rutan's build methods and some documentation were used, but it was a new design requiring a complete new engineering assessment, not merely a reissue of the Long-Eze plans.

    Putting a Ford engine in a new car doesn't make it a "Ford design" either.
