My plane (a Chinook Plus 2) has "push-pull" control cables to operate the ailerons. (I'm not sure what the actual name for them is) I find that there's some slop between the stick and the control surface. I know that there will always be a little inherent slop due to the design, but I'm wondering if there is a cable that is known to be better than the rest.
