When I first joined this site I asked a question about numbers of layers of fiber required if no foam core is used. The answers I got were overwhelmingly not possible or it would be very heavy. When I was search for "shear web" today, I stumbled on this thread https://www.homebuiltairplanes.com/forums/composites/14141-very-nteresting-spar-web.html It seems this company is just using carbon fiber, no foam core. So how many layers do you think they are using on the shear to get the desired strength? There is a hi-res image you can download on their site as well.
