I have been a private pilot for seven year now and owning an airplane seems a little out of reach. I have built countless RC aircraft and have good machining skills. I am kicking around the idea of building a plane. Though budget is important I don't wish to kill myself in the pursuit of affordable flight. My question here is does anyone have comments on building the Affordaplane? I'd also like to go with the VW two cylinder conversion power plant to get away from two strokes. Any advise would be great.
