I will soon take delivery of a motorglider with a Limbach 2000 engine. The engine is an air cooled flat four, pretty much a VW Vanagon block with Solex carbs. The ship I bought has a sticky-leaky valve. The seller said it ran rich all the time so possible carbon build up; I plan on a compression test and leak down test for starts and then a peek inside with a scope.

Here's the concern: I can't find anything on rebuild specs if a tear down is required. The factory manual from Germany has no specifics on head bolt torques, ring gap; all the good stuff. Disappointing for a $100 Bible. I've searched the Web to no avail, got any suggestions where to look?

Thanks, Dan
