15:1 base/native compressor ratio, DFI, Intercooled SuperCharging. Three rotationally displaced intake ports, automatic (engine ECU) shutoff valves for # 2 & 3.
50% power setting: Both auxillary intake ports are closed and SC produces only enough intake pressure, partial "cylinder fill", to prevent detonation at 15:1 CR. "Otto" mode equivalent.
75% power setting: Atkinson Cycle. Number 2 intake port now open lowering the effective "base" CR to 12:1 and SC intake port boost pressure equal to sea level atmosphere.
100% power setting: Miller Cycle. Number 2 and 3 intake ports now open, effective "base" CR of 10:1, SC intake pressure raised to bring the effective CR of 15:1 or more depending on intercooler efficiency.
Lightweight (carbon fiber??) positive displacement SC driven by both the engine and synchronous multiphase motor through a CVT differential type summing machine. See the Toyota HSD, Hybrid Synergy Drive, CVT/PSD(Power Split Device).
Variable frequency multiphase AC supplied by a solid state inverter.
SC "meters" intake flow, NO throttle plate required.
