A friend of mine is having trouble with his 582, probably his gearbox...

He runs the engine to full throttle and gets 5500 RPM, then it jumps very quickly to what sounds like 7000 (or maybe even higher - I haven't confirmed this yet though since I've only seen a video)

He's running a 68" three blade GSC prop.

Suggestions...? Thoughts...?
