Since the standard replacement is now lost in the move to Sonex and everywhere else I decided to weld up one out of 4130 and use the standard 4" homebuilders wheel from spruce that is 1.5" wide with a 3/8" axle. Easy to find replacement wheel directly bolts onto the old tailwheel spring. Pictures coming soon I will have a jig set up for making more if anyone is interested.

Unfortunately, the supply of original tailwheel springs may be running dry. I think SONEX wants us to convert to their titanium spring and tailwheel assembly. :(
That's what they tried selling me. Great plains doesn't have the molds for the original casting neither do the Bennetts. I decided to make mine off the original 4" design and use the aircraft spruce 4" homebuilders wheels. Easy replacement
