Hello everyone. My name is Josh. I bought my plans for my sal back in 2008 I am ready to start on my plane and am going to start with the tail. I was looking at the plans and it says to use fir or mahogany 1/4 inch for the ribs in the tail. Huge price difference from aircraft spruce, my question is why the big difference in price and what would your choice be. One is mill spec one is not. Also does anyone have pictures of a jig for the tail spars that they would be interested in emailing to me. I am looking at making one out of steel with threaded rod adjustable clamps and cams. Would this be over kill or would it be better for accuracy. Also does anybody know of someone who has a partial built sal mustang they are looking to get rid of. Thanks for any help.
