You know that Airventure is really over when you see that even Fred's airplane is gone. The webcams are still running, but no one is home anymore.

It reminds me of that old Steven King story, turned into a movie, The Langoliers. Watching the setup before the meet shows the youthfulness of something new coming, followed by the the bustling, living moment in time, now to be followed by the Langoliers, gobbling up the detritus of the past.

I've promised my nephew to take him next year, so I will be there whether he comes or not!
