multiple geared motor unit- "single engine"?

Thanks for the great comments, and sorry for the confusion. I used "single engine" in quotes because that's what the regs would call it.

I still haven't found the site I was looking for that showed the multi-motor unit, but I recall it has the ability to use a larger number of motors, like 4, 6, or 8, which would reduce the impact of having one fail. It might have been a solution to larger motors not being available back when it was made, but now I do believe you can get pretty much any size motor.

I'm in the very early stages of researching this, so I don't claim to know what will work best. I do think the concept of a multi motor unit is cool though. It would give a lot of options for power.
