Does anyone know how the cantilever mid-mount wings on the Piper Aerostar are supported at the root? Is there some kind of spar carry-through system? From the pics I can find, the cabin doesn't seem to be interrupted by a spar pass-through of any sort.

From what I understand, the Aerostar used a novel stressed-skin design, but I can't find any pictures.

Thanks!
